The Russian-Finnish Cultural Forum was hasted in Tampere this year.
At the invitation of Arts Promotion Center Finland I took part as a speaker and curator of a project.
I had presented the review of independent Russian street art, told about the features of street art with examples of several cities (Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Perm). I had show some insides, topics which reflected by artists who are making their interventions on the streets almost everyday. Judging by the reviews, not only Finnish, but also Russian participants of the forum opened a lot from the world of Russian street art: problems, a variety of unique styles and methods.
The second part of my input for the Forum was support for the art-project. Tn collaboration with artist and curator Vesa Varrela we had organized mural paintings on the Tampere Talo cultural center undeground parking. Two artists, Ville Farsaaret from Finnish Lappeenranta, and Natasha Pepe [Pastukhova] from Russian Ekaterinburg had painted murals inspired by music.
